My Story
I was a lead guitarist 20+ years and in 2015 decided I wanted what I couldn’t buy at any store. I widdled in my small shop for 6 months paying very close attention to every cut and hole drilled. After the wood dust settled and the lacquer dried, I was left with one fine instrument.
3 months later, one was ordered!
From the tree to the guitar.
Every guitar is handcrafted with locally sourced hardwoods that are seasoned in our own wood kiln.
The neck
The soul of the guitar starts at the neck. This is the key ingredient to a well tuned guitar! Every neck is hand carved to fit the customer perfectly. While precise fretwork allows for very accurate intonation and playability.
Bodies and curves
Attention to detail is a key factor in every body we make. Native Texas woods like mesquite, pecan and white oak are used exclusively giving every guitar it’s own distinctive look.
The pickups, the voice of the guitar.
In my early 20’s I worked for a transformer company and rewound a 1948 Fender horseshoe lap steel pickup. Who would know that 15 Years later I would be making my own pickups for my line of guitars? Every Hibler Custom guitar sounds like a Hibler because of this.
The Customer Experience
One thing that you‘ll find here is that every step of the process is captured and shared on my social media pages. The customer gets to watch their guitar go thru every step and in the end a video is shared demonstrating their finished product.
